Brand History:
(Source thehistorialist.com)
Pietro Bologna, from San Mauro Pascoli (Marche region), after World War II moved to Riccione to open his trade. The whole family was involved: his wife Mary and the sons Pino, Mario, Ilva and Carla. In the early 50’s mr. Bologna opened the “Bologna & Sons” factory and a store in via Fogazzaro. Given the location on the Adriatic Riviera, beach sandals was their forte, especially jeweled sandals.

Pietro Bologna died in 1973 but “Bologna & Sons” remained active until 1985. Later on, the sons went their separate ways opening two different shoe factories: “Pino Bologna & Sons” (Misano) and “Mario Bologna” (Riccione).
